Formed in 1991, the firm has gone through several development phases, including a brief period as a partnership, before settling into the current practice.  The small office has proven to be the most compatible scale of operation for the size and scope of the majority of the projects available in the piedmont area.  Homeowners and entreprenurial business owners have shown a preferance for working in direct collaboration with the design professionals responsible for their project's success.  The experience and projects database generated through the years enables us to provide services for a wide variety of project types.   

Piedmont Virginian Magazine in the April 2014 issue cited Michael Lysczek Architect as "Best Architect" in their 2013 "Best of the Piedmont" voting contest.  Many thanks to those whose support and patronage have made that possible.

In the community, Michael Lysczek has devoted a lot of time to public service by volunteering his time to the following organizations.  The causes range from Downtown revitalization and architectural preservation through economic development and affordable housing.
